Get a Free Critique of Your Writing!

A big goal for Student Bylines is helping you to achieve the best writing possible. Here are the steps you will need to take if you want your work critiqued:

  • Send your work to seth@studentbylines.com. Put "writing critique" in the subject header.
  • At that point we will make our comments and get back to you. The critiques are made by a diverse group of writers, teachers, and literature bums. The "Critique Team." We keep your name anonymous during the critiquing stage, and the comments will come back to you anonymously as well. So far this method has worked pretty well. Click here if you are interested in volunteering to become a part of the "Critique Team."
  • We might ask you to make corrections to a piece of writing then send it back to us by email for further review. This can happen. Don't become discouraged if you have to send your work back multiple times.
  • Once you get our comments back, send in your submission via snail mail along with the required entry cover sheet. We will accept entries by email, but would really prefer not to.
  • Click here for more submission guidelines.
  • If you have any questions email seth@studentbylines.com.
